How to Make a Quick and Easy Succulent Terrarium!

Remember these wood flower succulents we painted? Time to use them to create a cute succulent terrarium garden in 3 easy steps!

What You'll Need:

  • Sola wood flowers from Oh You're Lovely painted as succulents
  • A low/short bowl. I found these plastic terrarium bowls at the Dollar Tree ($1 each!) but you can use a glass, ceramic or metal bowl as well.
  • Spray paint (optional)
  • White rocks or river rocks. These are also from the Dollar Tree

Step 1 (Optional) - Spray paint the bowl!

Turn the bowl upside down and paint!

I used a metallic Rust-Oleum spray paint to cover the outside of the bowl in gold. Since the inside will be filled with rocks, no need for a coat of paint inside the bowl.

Step 2 - Fill With Rocks!

I used 2 bags of rocks for each bowl and just dumped them in! For this step, you can also use sand, dirt, moss...anything that gives a dry, arid garden type of feel.

Step 3 - Add Your Succulents!

Time to add the pretties! You can just place them on the rocks and arrange in whatever way looks just right. I did find that I needed to move the rocks a little to create a small divet to sit the flower in and make the arrangement more secure.

And there you have it! A fun succulent garden that requires no maintenance
